Auction Marketing
Where are you now? On the Internet. So are millions of other people around the globe at any time of the day. In the world today, the most important marketing tool isn't the newspaper anymore. The Internet and other technologies have radically changed auction marketing in the 21st century. So how do we advertise your auction to provide you the best results?
The goal is clear; as a seller, the bottom-line is the issue. You will get the most proceeds from your auction if you maximize the crowd -- the right crowd. Our multi-dimensional marketing system gets the attention of the people you will want at your auction. With the right people there, you are assured fair market prices. Here's what we've discovered.
A website is a must. We track website visits and are regularly the most viewed website in our market area. On a typical month, someone looks at our website every 10.92 seconds, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our website provides pictures and text for every auction along with maps and driving directions, weather outlooks for that particular location, as well as several ways to contact us.
Email is essential. We began collecting email addresses in 1998. We reached nearly 2,000 email auction customers by 2001 and we now send a weekly email to over 13,000. Our email is text-based for easy transfer and loading; it can even be sent out last-minute if there is an important announcement about your auction, or as a reminder of your event.
Signs and directionals are also important. Once buyers begin to travel towards your auction, the directions and signs help them find your location. Signs are posted at strategic intersections near your site. As well, signs prior to the day-of-auction help neighbors and passersby see that your event is upcoming. We also have signs with brochure boxes so flyers and other information is available 24-hours.
Flyers are also instrumental in that they are placed at every auction prior to yours. Customers routinely take flyers from each of our auctions. Buyers tend to keep these flyers in their vehicles to access directions or other information while not near a computer. Your auction will have the attention of 100's of buyers at our other auctions.
Newspaper advertising may help. We can get you the best rates available since we have contracts with many newspapers. There are certainly situations where a newspaper advertisement is prudent, or possibly even legally required. We'll manage the entire process from inventory, production, scheduling and proofing. We'll advise on the cost and proper placement, and produce camera-ready advertising if possible to ensure accuracy.
That's not all. All of our auctions are also incorporated into our Toll-Free Voice Information Line System that can be called to get our upcoming schedule. Additionally, we can discuss with you supplemental marketing options that include Television, Radio, Brochures, Targeted Emails, Broadcast Fax and other websites that can be utilized to give your auction even more publicity.
